We highly recommend PV
controlled solar
heating systems and avoid using controllers, sensors, and
thermostats etc because the latter components are the most
troublesome parts in the otherwise highly reliable solar heating
systems (controller electronics can be easily damaged by spikes in
power supply or lightening; sensors and thermostats also frequently
malfunction). A PV controlling a PV pump is extremely reliable. It
will work perfectly even when there is a power outage during bad
weather, or when circuit breaker is tripped, residents
turn off power etc. Any power outage can potentially cause damage to
controller-sensors
controlled systems.

We can provide 12V, 15W PV panel with
mounting hardware, El SID PV pump (10W), check valve, pressure
relieve valve, glycol charging inlet and outlet valves,
pressure gauge, and fittings as depicted in the following
pictures for $390. We
can also provide the highly reliable thermosiphon
heat exchanger for $119 (saving you another pump and
potential problems).

EL SID stands for extremely lasting static-impeller
driven. The magnetic field drives the impeller and spins it without
any moving parts or seals. They are completely brass and stainless
steel and will not corrode. They have no seals (leak proof), no
brush or bearings to wear off and will not get hot, run very quiet,
can stand 250°F temperature fluid and 175 PSI pressure and have
extremely long life (several times longer life span than other
pumps). They are highly reliable and maintenance free. They start at
1 watt, run faster when sunshine is stronger, and can move up to 6
gallons of fluid per minute (far exceeding the requirement of a
typical closed-loop solar heating system. A closed-loop pressurized
system has no water head to overcome). All these superior features
make them the best choice and value for a reliable solar heating
system.

Our systems are very modular and can be easily expanded by
connecting more solar collectors and adding one or more water tanks,
with lower cost per unit of hot water as system size increases.
Contact us for your particular needs, whether it is
commercial or residential, plumbers getting into this rapidly
expanding new field, or do-it-yourself projects. You will be happy
about your investment return and the great satisfaction in going
solar.
